The Charities

The Million Miles project is about our local community. Getting out and about is great for both mental and physical health and so the main aim is to get everybody moving; but we'd also like to raise some much needed funds for good local causes while we're at it. Funds raised from the 2023 Million Miles events supported the following charities.

In 2024 The Sleep Out aimed to support The Rainbow Centre in its work with the Homeless. With a view to eventually helping fund a home providing all the necessary help to house people while they work their way, supported by mentors back to normal living.

South Kent Mind

We provide mental health and wellbeing support for adults and children across South Kent. It is our mission to ensure that everyone struggling with their mental health has somewhere to turn.

The Rainbow Centre

Committed to supporting people from the Folkestone & Hythe district who find themselves either homeless or at risk of becoming so, those who are facing crisis, debt or hardship each year.

The Sports Trust

We work in Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh, creating accessible opportunities for everybody to feel the benefits of sport and exercise.

Channel Rotary

The big project for Channel is supporting homeless people within our community. We raise funds for Mind South Kent, The Rainbow Centre and The Sports Trust plus many others with our events.
